Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AI Dermatologist ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile application that produces an AI-based, educational assessment of skin moles from a photo you provide. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app processes, why, and your choices. It applies to the Android app and its backend service at aidermatologist.mindix.space.

2. Data we process

Mole photos

When you take or select a photo and start an analysis, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider (Mistral AI) to generate the assessment. We do not store your photos on our servers — each image is processed transiently to service your request and is not retained by us after the result is returned. The photo and its result are saved only in your on-device analysis history; they are never uploaded to us for storage.

Account information

The first analysis does not require an account. To continue using the app after that, you sign in with Google. We receive and store your email address and a Google account identifier on our server to authenticate you and manage your account. We never receive your Google password.

Usage and diagnostics

We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand how the app is used and to detect crashes and errors. This includes app-interaction events (for example, that an analysis was completed and its resulting risk level), device and app information, and crash diagnostics, associated with an app-instance identifier.

Technical data

Our server temporarily uses your IP address to apply rate limits and protect the service from abuse. It is not used to build a profile of you.

3. How we use data

• To generate your mole assessment (core app functionality).
• To authenticate you and manage your account.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• To improve the app's stability and performance (analytics and crash reporting).

4. Third parties and processors

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising. We rely on the following service providers, which process data on our behalf:

• Mistral AI — processes your photo to produce the assessment. See Mistral's privacy terms for its handling of transmitted content.
• Google — Sign-In (authentication) and Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (usage analytics and crash reporting).
• Our hosting provider — runs the backend server.

5. Storage and retention

• Photos: not stored on our servers; processed transiently. Kept only on your device as part of your history.
• Analysis history: stored locally on your device. You can delete any record in the app, and uninstalling the app removes it entirely.
• Account data (email, Google identifier): retained while your account exists and deleted on request (see below).

6. Security

All data transmitted between the app, our server, and our providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access or deletion: you can request access to, or deletion of, your account data by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your account information stored on our server upon request.
• Sign out at any time from the Account screen in the app.
• Delete local data: remove individual records in your history, or uninstall the app to delete all locally stored data.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use it.

9. International processing

Your data may be processed on servers located in countries other than your own, including by the providers listed above. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
